Urban Nerds Carnival Special Comp

When it started around five years ago, Urban Nerds was one of the first multi genre bass music nights to grace our fine capital. Since then they’ve risen up the ranks of the underground clubbing scene to become an absolute powerhouse, packing out clubs, and some more interesting venues, left right and centre. In true fashion, their carnival warm up party this Saturday (25th August) steps up the heat from last years, featuring a dangerous lineup across the spectrum with one of London’s finest Breakage topping the bill, closely followed by Mala & Coki.

To add to the festivities, they’re offering one lucky Broken-Culture reader the chance to win 2 VIP tickets to the night. All you have to do is email your answer to the question below to max [at] broken-culture.co.uk and cross your fingers! Please also include your full name and a telephone number we can text you on to let you know you’ve won. The winner will be notified on thursday.

Question: What city is Breakage from?

They’ve also recently released an exclusive carnival tee which was the result of a competition to find the best design. Andrew Burton delivered the goods with the design below, which you can pick up here. They only printed 50 though, so be quick!

Lastly, they’ve topped off their Carnival celebrations with an exclusive Carnival anthems mix by Grime stalwart, Hyperdub don and Hardrive Records boss Terror Danjah, who also happens to be playing room two of the night alongside The Heatwave for a tropical takeover. At 38 tracks deep it’s a weighty, dubby ode to London’s finest weekend of music. Check that out below and download over on Soundcloud.
