Sheffield based street artist Phlegm has long been a favourite here, with an incredibly uncanny, original and captivating style combining with a work rate second to none. His illustrative, heavily detailed black and white pieces can be seen all over the UK and further afield and always make the best use of choice spots with large scale pieces that are meticulously executed while also having an element of the rough about them, using harsh lines and a sketched style to make it seem like the walls are literally an extension of his sketchpad.
Now, there’s a chance to peruse his surreal illustrations from the comfort of your own home, with his new eighty page book showcasing the pen and ink illustrations that his wall work has been based on over the past few years. Printed and bound in his hometown (by Evolution Printers) on heavyweight paper, it features covers hand printed and Embossed by Phlegm so should be an incredible object to own. It’s retailing at £25 and it’s June 1st release date via his BigCartel was postponed so you should be able to get your mitts on a copy any time now.
