Originally founded in 1966 as a tennis brand, K-Swiss has almost fifty years under it’s belt in the trainer game, creating a series of silhouettes that have crossed over into the world of fashion and become iconic shoes both on and off the court, their ‘Classic’ model making it’s debut at Wimbledon as the first leather Tennis sho for example. However, after slightly falling behind the market leaders, they’re now looking to revamp their trainer offerings to bring the brand back to prominence in today’s fashion centric world. Teaming up with multiple grammy nominated producer Diplo, they’ve bought on board a name who’s worked with the likes of Snoop, MIA and Pharrell as well as being a solo artist in his own right ever since his debut album Florida marked him out as a voice of American dance-floors.
Today, that supreme partnership launches their ongoing collaborative campaign entitled ‘The Board‘, inviting young creatives and would be entrepreneurs to join Diplo, an entrepreneurial powerhouse both in and outside of music, in forming a taskforce entrusted with reimagining K-Swiss, from sneaker design and brand positioning to social media and more. Accompanied by a range of Diplo’s friends, experts in fields such as marketing, design, branding and business, the chosen applicants will be invited to the program’s members-only website with a six-course curriculum connecting the group with those industry insiders, each of who will lead a discussion on their area of expertise. After that, they’ll help the board members with the exciting task of recreating the brand’s presence and strategy.
With two international brands spearheading the campaign and a range of other field leaders and industry experts, it’s an incredible opportunity for you to not only learn from the best but also put your stamp on a company that is seen all over the world. With the help and guidance of some of the most knowledgable people around, you’ll be put in the drivers seat.
