Emerge Stimulation: Space Project

Surely there’s no greater playground for adrenaline junkies than the big wide world of outer space? While mountains promise speed and majestic views, the city lends itself to creativity on a bike or board and the sea offers unexplored depths, the mystery of space provides an irresistible pull for anyone seeking new experiences. While it’s something that seems tantalizingly within reach in our age of modern technology, the sad fact of the matter is that dreams of space are rarely made a reality. So, with skydiver Felix Baurngartner recently breaking the sound barrier as he fell from space as part of the Red Bull Stratos project and Lynx’s Apollo Space Academy sending a regular bloke into space, 35p energy drink company Emerge are offering the opportunity for fans to get a small, albeit digital, taste of the great cosmos, and blag a bag load of internet fame while they’re at it.

Would be internet space cadets simply have to to upload a selfie to their Facebook app (here) and the winning face will be chosen to feature in a video of their lucky chops being lifted gracefully into space. Check out the promo video below to see what you’re photo could be in for, a neat bit of CGI where an ecstatic random sails through the clouds to the smooth sounds of ‘The Joker’ by The Steve Miller Band. Check the app for more information and to apply here.
