We first gave Andy Kayes, a duel nationality rapper who’s honed his craft out in France, some shine round these parts off the back of a cypher video he filmed alongside Jehst, Jyager, Parky and D-Tree (here). Six months on he’s currently building up to a forthcoming album and, after leaking the first track Highs to Lows back in September, he’s just dropped it’s second offering; Blinking Souls. An indie inspired joint with a rough acoustic guitar, messy fret slides adding an organic touch of soul, and a range of live instrumentation, it’s an incredibly catchy track that contorts Hip Hop for a genre hopping sound that I’m really feeling. His bouncing, sing song flow retains an element of the rugged while his lyrics are heart felt, splashed with some solid observations and imagery. Check it out below.
