Caxton Press- Big Buck Star (Video)

Hip Hop five piece Caxton Press have been making moves on the UK scene since their debut album, Shame the Devil, dropped earlier this year. I just realised that I somehow never got round to reviewing that, but just know it’s ill! They’ve got that hard, dark, gritty style but at the same time come with some knowledge and food for thought which is always dope. They just released another video from the album, this time providing visuals for Speakers Corner founder Manages solo track on the release, Big Buck Star.

A deep story of the underworld, and in particular one dealer spiralling into it, it’s simply really dope story bars with a tight flow over a solid beat with a dark melody and various drum shuffles and fluttery teases that add interest to an otherwise simple but effective instrumental. Global Faction, for their 200th video (previously unbeknownst to them) deliver a correspondingly simple video that won’t exactly melt your eyes, but does exactly what it says on the tin in their signature style.
