I’ve just stumbled across two really nice examples of modern skate filmography, a genre which the advent of HD Video DSLR cameras really seems to be pushing forward into new places. The first is ‘Skateboarding in Zeitlupe‘, a fresh looking film by Sebastian Linda with some great shots, sharp cuts and a whole load of super slow mo. It’s very heavily focused on the filming aspect of things so may annoy some of the skate purists who just want to see skills on a plank, but it’s incredibly well made none the less.

Next up is a more traditional looking skate part, shot at night with some really well executed rolling light shots and that classic, dark and slightly gritty, aesthetic. ‘Cityscape‘ features Mark Suciu on the board and Justin Albert on the camera, straight up sickness!
